Piedmont Wildcats Jumped Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Ardmore To Win 5A-2 District Title

The Piedmont Wildcats jumped out to an early lead over Ardmore and took home a 7-2 victory on Saturday.  

Piedmont Wildcats scored on a groundout by Noodle Owen in the first inning, a single by Abby DeTar in the first inning, and a single by Kenedi Morelock in the second inning.  Piedmont Wildcats took an early lead in the first inning.  Noodle Owen grounded out, scoring one run.  Piedmont Wildcats scored four runs in the third inning.  Piedmont Wildcats big inning was driven by a double by Rikki Hadley.

Chloe Bohuslavicky earned the win for Piedmont Wildcats. She threw seven innings, allowing two runs, seven hits, and striking out eight.  Duff took the loss for Ardmore. She pitched six innings, allowing seven runs, seven hits, and striking out four.  Kenedi Morelock led Piedmont Wildcats with two hits in four at-bats.

The win gave Piedmont the 5A-2 District Title and moved their record to 18-3 on the season.
